objectives

Since year 2000, new surgical techniques have shown better results in terms of root coverage and esthetics in addition to less post-operative discomfort and higher patient satisfaction.

Esthetic periodontal surgery is a common procedure that contributes to enhancing the patient's smile. Since year 2000, new surgical techniques have shown better results in terms of root coverage and esthetics in addition to less post-operative discomfort and higher patient satisfaction.

During this webinar, the author will go through the main indications for esthetic periodontal surgery, a detailed description and analysis of the currently used surgical techniques and the input of microsurgical instruments. Since root coverage procedures are now less invasive, the author will discuss designing recipient and donor sites. Clinical guidelines and strategies will be provided for predictable and successful treatment outcomes for soft tissue replacement graft procedure in complex cases.

This presentation will also show the importance of careful oral hygiene instructions and adequate periodontal supportive therapy to maintain good dimensions of periodontal tissues and esthetic results.
